We go wild for bluebells…

It may look like something from a fairytale but these the first images of the new Bluebell collection from Jo Malone. Sweet, wearable and with touches of fresh citrus this collection is quite simply…divine. If you liked Pear and Freesia you will love these.

French tips the easy, easy way!

False nails and acrylic tips are really not my thing, I’m more into short nails and bright colours but this clever invention from Elegant Touch has really made my day! It’s probably the easiest way to apply pretty, French Manicure-style white tips.

Here’s what you do
1 – apply glue to the white strip on the plastic nail
2 – place white strip over the tip of your natural nail and hold while it sets
3 – gently pull the plastic cover off revealing your new white tip
4 – file down if you need to
5 – and ta-da! Apply the 2 top coats included and you’re done! You can add a thin layer of pink too if you want to soften the look.

I think they are ideal for weddings and race days as they are so quick…. simply remove with acetone nail polish.

During lunch with Coty (In Nobu - amaze!) they revealed the new David Beckham advert for this latest fragrance, Homme. Out on the 28 July it’s a spicy scent with notes of leather, pepper, pine and citrus - but let's face I’m really just looking forward to seeing more of this pretty picture splashed about!

Revlon's new Quick Dry nail polish colours are arriving here in the UK in September and after my sneak preview, I'm already hooked. Their new brand ambassador Jenni Draper did this Cath Kidston coloured dotty design using their new light grey shade called Cloud.

Saturday night fun...

To celebrate the new Hawaiian Tropic and Wilkinson Sword launches we were lucky enough to spend a Saturday night with the ladies from Grayling PR at the Katy Perry concert. Add into the mix champagne and a late night burger and it was a great evening! Look out for their new products (I love the new after sun foamy cream) in issue 2 of our 'new' magazine out on May 17th!

NYR celebrate their 30th birthday

Thankfully it’s not long till May and the launch of Neal’s Yard Remedies’ new Create Range (finally a chance to create your own bespoke beauty treats!) and their latest book, pictured here. Those with skin concerns like sensitivity and others, like me, who are obsessed with certain essential oils will love creating a body lotion or bath oil jammed packed full of skin soothing oils and organic ingredients. No nasties and lots of fun. I can’t wait!

Meet Orlando 'swoon' Bloom

Dishy new dad Orlando Bloom is the latest celebrity to collaborate with Hugo Boss for the launch of their new scent, Boss Orange Man. Orlando is making a special appearance in Selfridges, London, this Thursday the 17th of March and the queues are already forming (just kidding - I think!).

Nails on your iPhone

Err..I'm slightly addicted to this OPI nail app on my iPhone. Sad i know! Choose your skin tone, change your nail length, browse their collections and then try on all their colours to see which one looks best. Surprisingly this soft yellow shade looks fantastic! Summer brights from Rimmel

Bold and wearable is the key to Rimmel's new summer collection out on May the 18th. The eye shadow palette and bright pastel nail polishes are sure to be a hit. It's fashion forward yet totally wearable on the high street, which is why we all still love Rimmel.

Decadant new lipsticks

What is not to love about Guerlain's new lipstick collection out this summer? Spray painting fun with Nivea

Today a group of us beauty journalists tried to take on Banksy - and we did pretty well I reckon! For Nivea's latest launch we had tons of fun spray painting and graffiting some large canvas all in the name of work. The professionals obviously did a better job than us (some will disagree of course!) with their Nivea related pictures but most of us did pretty well too.

And on a work note, the new Nivea Sun Light Feeling SPF mist smells of holidays and has me longing to book that flight...

I’m hooked on these new Crabtree & Evelyn lip butters which came with some yummy sweets. My favourite is the mint chocolatey Crème De Menthe flavour. £6 each.

Vichy science lesson

It’s not often you have a science lesson at a beauty launch but high-tech skin care brand Vichy broke all the rules this week. After playing with lots of oils, gases and hydrogen....ok that’s as technical as I get...and I have to say I’m super excited to try their latest anti-ageing LifeActiv Derm Source cream. It has been 10 years in the making and contains Rhamnose – a natural Brazilian sugar – to help fight the signs of ageing deep within the layers of the skin. More than 800 women with sensitive skin tested the new creams and the results were fantastic. Keep an eye out for this one.

Instant eye opener

Clinique's latest offering is this small teeny little mascara designed for just your bottom lashes. You may not think you need it but believe me, you do! It's amazing how your lower lashes can completely open up your eyes when they have mascara on. This whole 'mascara wardrobe' was a lovely Friday afternoon treat from Clinique. Thanks ladies.
